01 / THE APPROACH

Good players deserve
a better introduction.

Recruiting is more than sending a video to every coach. We help you tell your story, find programs that fit, and take the next step with purpose.

01

Show your game.

A focused highlight reel that helps a coach see your position, decisions, and impact—not just your best goal.

02

Find your fit.

Build a realistic school list around your soccer level, academic goals, location, and what matters to you.

03

Start a conversation.

Write personal, specific emails. Track your outreach. Follow up thoughtfully. You stay in control.

YOUR HIGH SCHOOL ROADMAP

A plan for every year.
Progress at every stage.

Recruiting moves at a different pace for every player. Use this roadmap to focus on the steps you can take now.

09

Freshman year

Lay the groundwork.

Start with habits that create more options later. Your development and schoolwork matter well before recruiting conversations begin.

  • Protect your GPA from your first semester and plan your courses with a school counselor.
  • Save clear game footage so you can show your progress over time.
  • Explore college divisions, playing styles, and academic programs.
  • Try nearby ID camps that fit your budget to learn, get feedback, and understand the level.
10

Sophomore year

Put yourself on the radar.

Turn your preparation into a simple recruiting presence. Start introducing yourself to programs that could be a good fit.

  • Create a player profile with your position, graduation year, academics, and a short highlight reel.
  • Choose ID camps at schools you genuinely want to learn more about.
  • Send personalized introductions with your profile, film, and upcoming match schedule.
  • Track each school, email, reply, and follow-up in one organized place.
11

Junior year

Build real conversations.

Make outreach a regular habit and learn where you fit. Some programs recruit early, so be proactive while keeping your school list flexible.

  • Share current highlights and updated academic information with interested coaches.
  • Set up or update your NCAA Eligibility Center account; choose the appropriate certification account for D1 or D2.
  • Follow up thoughtfully and send useful updates to schools that haven’t replied.
  • Arrange campus visits with coaches when recruiting rules permit.
  • Include a realistic mix of divisions and programs that match your soccer and academic goals.
12

Senior year

Find your fit. Finish strong.

Keep working until you have a clear plan. If you haven’t committed, ask programs directly about openings and next steps.

  • Continue outreach across divisions, including D2, NAIA, and junior colleges; availability varies by team.
  • Keep your profile, grades, match schedule, and highlight video current.
  • Confirm official-visit eligibility and invitations, then use visits to evaluate the full school experience.
  • Track admissions, FAFSA, and academic scholarship deadlines alongside any athletic aid offer.
  • Show specific interest in schools you choose—don’t wait for a coach to find you.

Real experience.
Personal guidance.

I’m Taylor Peay. I was heavily recruited in high school and received a soccer scholarship to the University of Washington, where I played before going on to play professionally with the Portland Timbers and Real Salt Lake. I also coached and scouted for RSL Academy.

I built Peay Soccer Recruiting to help high school players present themselves with confidence. We’ll work on the parts you can control: your film, your message, and your plan.
